Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst with expertise in Salesforce and quality management systems (QMS) like ComplianceQuest to join our IT team. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional IT teams to define, deliver, and support business solutions while managing strategic roadmaps. The role will involve analyzing, documenting, implementing, and optimizing various business applications and systems to meet company needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth business systems analysis to support the development and implementation of IT solutions, including gathering and documenting requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear system specifications that align with both user requirements and industry best practices.
- Act as an intermediary between technical teams and business departments, ensuring effective communication and understanding.
- Evaluate user needs and collaborate with technical teams or external vendors to develop optimal solutions.
- Understand the business implications of technical solutions and assist in defining technology that meets both current and future business requirements.
- Provide training to end users on new technologies and system enhancements, while offering ongoing support for existing systems.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure systems meet uptime requirements for end users.
- Participate in system upgrades, including planning, scheduling, coordinating, and deploying changes.
- Ensure applications and systems are performing optimally by proactively addressing any issues or potential improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze business processes and conduct needs assessments to ensure IT solutions align with business objectives.
- Work with business users to identify challenges and recommend the most suitable technical or configuration solutions.
- Collect, document, and manage requirements, offering detailed design specifications and business rules throughout the project lifecycle.
- Validate system test plans and ensure proper testing is completed prior to implementation.
- Create and deliver user documentation (e.g., user guides, process flow charts, and training materials).
- Work with users to develop test scenarios and assist with acceptance testing to verify that system changes meet project requirements.
- Monitor system integrity and performance following upgrades to ensure smooth operation.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans for implementation and upgrades, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure that documentation is consistently updated, particularly when change requests are approved.
- Propose and implement system enhancements to improve reliability and overall system performance.
- Resolve any issues related to system performance and availability while maintaining user support.
- Regularly communicate system updates and issues to all relevant stakeholders, including customers and technical teams.
- Stay informed about new technologies, continuously expanding knowledge on system behavior and business processes.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced analysts and assist with their professional development.
- Manage high-priority projects and customer engagements to ensure timely delivery and successful outcomes.
Education & Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree with 6-8 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with 4-6 years of experience.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Expertise in business systems analysis, process improvement, and project management.
- Experience in analyzing business processes, documenting requirements, and delivering effective technical solutions.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, ISO).
- Expertise in quality management systems (eQMS) and their role in regulatory compliance and quality processes.
- Strong project management skills with experience leading projects from initiation to implementation using methodologies like Agile or Waterfall.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with business users and technical teams.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Advanced Administrator) are a plus.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and their integration with CRM platforms.
- Ability to handle complex technical challenges while considering the business impact of solutions.
- Demonstrated mentoring skills and ability to guide junior staff.
